Today was the first time I ever walked inside FAO Schwarz. It was also the last day it was open for business. It was exceedingly depressing. I know this isn’t the story of a small business failing(it is owned by Toys R’ Us.) But just seeing empty shelves and knowing that its the end of an iconic symbol of childhood just bums me out and makes me feel old.
On a side note I’m 31 years old and have two toy shelves(with room for expansion.)
