Journey's End
Journey's End

So I actually had this photo in mind from yesterday.  I always remembered this road sign being humongous, so when I realized that it wasn’t I had to change my composition.  I spent, what some may call, an excessive amount of time driving this loop of back roads during my late high school to early college years.  I always remembered getting to this part of the loop and catching this sign through bleary eyes, and it always had this ominous undertone to it. Now I know its not supposed to be threatening, and that to the people that live here its like a welcome home.  To me it always felt like a warning, like “this is the end of the line..”  Paranoid much?  Anyway, my initial intention was to just get a simple shot of the sign, and have no motion going on.  That went out the window when a car passed on my first, and only, exposure.  I felt the passing car, really spoke well to the narrative of my connection to this place.

  1. I went all the way back to find this picture so that I could tell you how much I love it, and how much you need to put this stuff on Etsy so I can buy it from you.
