two hundred fifteen (Montreal: Day 4)

Robyn and I went to the Jean-Talon Market yesterday, before going on a mildly disastrous(and completely unsuccessful) bike ride to the peak of Mt. Royal(we only made it to the park by the base)  I would have liked to have made it to the market on a Saturday to take pictures.  I could really imagine this place being packed to the brim.  We got some fresh strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries with the intent of having a little picnic.  We ended up getting lost(I ended up getting a little lost.)  There were train tracks that I was unaware of, that cause us to end up going on a long detour through the city in the wrong direction.  Also the first rent a bike that I ended up getting had a completely mangled front tire.  And I didn’t realize it until we were a good ten minutes from the hub.  We ended up having a late dinner at Bouillon Bilk.  It was amazing.  Not as hearty and down to earth at Les ConServant, but still delicious.  We had Raw Oysters and Octopus as an appetizer, then Robyn had the most amazing scallops I’ve ever had for her entree. I had Piglet with tiny heirloom mushrooms and tart tomatoes with corn and I don’t know what else, but it was amazing.  We finished up with this chocolate cake concoction with foam on it and a jar or warm homemade cookies.  I feel like I’ve been rambling a bit, and we really need to check out of the hotel and begin the next leg of our trip.  Portland here we come.
