I couldn’t have been happier that John shot me this look when I snapped a picture of him tonight. It’s a look I see a lot from him. It’s his “Are you f*ckin serious?” look. It’s usually followed by a gout of laughter. I was also stoked that he didn’t mind me posting his picture here, because I almost had to post a picture that I took of the ground…seriously. I mean it was a nice picture of the ground but still.
Anyway, John is a good dude with a sense of humor I can appreciate. He’s the kind of guy where you don’t have to guess where you stand with him. On more than one occasion he’s asked me “Do you know the first thing about horse racing?” I usually respond with a “Not really. Do you know anything about cameras?” Which usually gets a smirk and a laugh.
