Everybody has a train face. I remember taking the T around Boston(normally the orange line) around rush hour. If I was able to get a seat I would always like to pull out my sketch pad and do gesture drawings of people on the train. I became acutely aware of the somber zombie face commuters make when they’re on their way to wherever they are going. Not happy, but not quite sad, most people fix their gaze at a point where they are actively avoiding eye contact(which is a feat on a crowded 4 train.)
