I’m part of the rat race, but I’m not normally on the 9-5er’s shift. Sometimes I want to be scheduled normal times, but other times I’m happy that I get to have coffee and go running(or in today’s case, get shocked with electrodes at PT) while the majority of the world is in the office.

Sean got a new bike that he was putting together when I got home. he also got a new flash, so I was able to play with the Master/Slave setting and mess around. Making me think its time for a new Speedlight. Which is the problem with living with another camera person. Every time he gets new gear, I want to buy new gear. That’s why I got the Mark III.

Everybody has a train face. I remember taking the T around Boston(normally the orange line) around rush hour. If I was able to get a seat I would always like to pull out my sketch pad and do gesture drawings of people on the train. I became acutely aware of the somber zombie face commuters make when they’re on their way to wherever they are going. Not happy, but not quite sad, most people fix their gaze at a point where they are actively avoiding eye contact(which is a feat on a crowded 4 train.)

I’m pretty sure this is the second time I shot this tractor, I think I shot it the last time almost 2 years ago. I actually know the guy that drives it now, and he’s a really nice guy. I have no idea what his name is… This is what happens when you spend the better part of a decade working in the service industry. I bet I would remember his drink order. Did I mention he was super nice?

I’ve been shooting horse races for two years now, and I have no idea how to read the odds. People often ask me for inside tips, to which I smile and say I know how to operate the camera and I’d have a better chance telling them the winning Mega Millions.
