Just had a severe nerd session at the bar. Talked comic books for about an hour and a half. These are two of my favorite Batman’s “Killing Joke” and “Dark Knight Returns.” #Nerdgasm

I go through spurts where I devour books, followed by periods of absolutely nothing where I get pissed off at myself for not reading. Feast or famine.

When I was 8 or 9 I was playing in my friends backyard. I tripped and fell onto a yellow jackets’ nest. Needless to say I was stung multiple times. For a long time after I was scared to death of bees. I’m not sure when, but I just got over it, which seems to be a trend most of my phobias have drifted into the ether. Despite that, I wasn’t about to get any closer than this(about 2 feet) although I would have loved to have gotten a macro shot of this nest.

They die hard don’t they… I wrote something for this. It was about religion and my stances beliefs. Couldn’t make it not sound preachy so I deleted it.

I’m starting to get the feeling that my themes are getting grouped, I have two inclement weather photos together. Couldn’t really resist this, the rain was coming down so hard today, it was like the end of the world. I can’t look at this zoomed in without thinking brushstrokes.

Wish I had a tripod with me, could have made this way better. Instead had to use my car as a stabilizer.

There’s no way of knowing what’s to come, and there is only so much that we can do to prepare. As cliche as it is nothing worth doing is easy. Coasting to the point of inaction is a little death, and it is one of the easiest ways to fall off. It’s important to remind ourselves to keep the ground moving beneath our feet.

I was a terrible photographer today, but I played a pretty sweet lighting director so I’m going to call it even. 13 hour day banked, with a huge day to follow tomorrow.
